Oppenheimer y Poor Things (Pobres criaturas) triunfaron en las categorías cinematográficas de la 81ª edición de los Globos de Oro y Succession y The Bear en las de televisión.
Celebrada este domingo, como es costumbre en Los Ángeles, esta entrega dio inicio a una nueva era de los galardones, tras la disolución de la Asociación de Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood a causa de un escándalo por acusaciones de corrupción y falta de diversidad en su órgano de votación.
En una ceremonia sin sorpresas, polémicas ni discursos políticos, Oppenheimer se llevó a casa cinco de los ocho galardones a los que estaba nominada, incluida mejor película de drama, mejor director para Christopher Nolan y mejor actor de drama para Cillian Murphy.
Poor Things, mientras, se hizo con el premio a la mejor cinta de comedia o musical y su protagonista, interpretada por Emma Stone, al de mejor actriz de comedia o musical.
El Globo de Oro a mejor actriz de drama fue para Lily Gladstone, quien arrancó su discurso de agradecimiento hablando en su lengua indígena.
Como era de esperar, Barbie —que era la más nominada pero no obtuvo ninguno de los principales premios—, se coronó como el mayor logro cinematográfico de taquilla, una categoría nueva.
La gala fue presentada esta vez por el actor y cómico estadounidense Jo Koy.
