La 77ª edición de los Premios Emmy Primetime, celebrada el domingo 14 de septiembre en el Peacock Theater de Los Ángeles y transmitida en vivo por CBS, ha confirmado una vez más el dinamismo y la diversidad de la televisión contemporánea. Bajo la conducción del comediante Nate Bargatze en su debut como presentador, la ceremonia premió producciones estrenadas entre el 1 de junio de 2024 y el 31 de mayo de 2025, destacando un trío de series que capturaron la atención de la Academia de Televisión: el drama médico The Pitt de HBO Max, la sátira hollywoodense The Studio de Apple TV+ y el thriller psicológico Adolescencia de Netflix.
La ceremonia, que incluyó los galardones de los Creative Arts Emmys de la semana anterior, subrayó la tendencia hacia series originales. The Studio rompió récords al acumular 13 Emmys en total, incluyendo nueve de los Creative Arts, consolidándose como la comedia más premiada en una sola temporada. Adolescencia dominó la categoría de series limitadas con ocho trofeos, y The Pitt, en su año de estreno, sorprendió al superar a competidoras con presupuestos millonarios para alzarse con el premio a la Mejor Serie Dramática.
Aunque el foco estuvo en el trío principal, otras series brillaron. Severance de Apple TV+ ganó ocho Emmys, incluyendo Mejor Actriz Principal en Drama para Britt Lower y Mejor Actor de Reparto en Drama para Tramell Tillman, pese a no alzarse con la serie dramática. Hacks de HBO Max se llevó dos premios en comedia: Mejor Actriz Principal para Jean Smart y Mejor Actriz de Reparto para Hannah Einbinder.
Este palmarés refleja la vitalidad de la televisión en 2025. Apple TV+ tuvo su mejor noche con 13 trofeos totales, seguida de HBO Max y Netflix. Discursos emotivos, como el de Wyle sobre su trayectoria de 26 años o el de Graham sobre empatía, añadieron profundidad en la noche más importante de las series de televisión.
