The Banshees of Inisherin, una oscura comedia sobre una amistad rota en el marco de la guerra civil en Irlanda encabeza las nominaciones a los Globos de Oro 2023, que se anunciaron este lunes.
La cinta, traducida al español como “Los espíritus de la isla”, está nominada en 8 apartados, incluidos mejor película, director (Martin McDonagh) y guion.
Le sigue de cerca con 6 nominaciones Todo en todas partes al mismo tiempo (Everything Everywhere All at Once), una innovadora fábula de ciencia ficción que se desarrolla en el multiverso.
Los Fabelman (The Fabelmans), el relato semiautobiográfico que hace Steven Spielberg de su infancia; Babylon, una mirada novedosa a la era del cine mudo de Hollywood, y Elvis, una película biográfica de la leyenda del rock, obtuvieron cada una 5 nominaciones.
Y en el apartado de mejor película de habla no inglesa la argentina Argentina,1985
competirá por el premio con la alemana Im Westen nichts Neues (Sin novedad en el frente), la coprodución belga-francesa-neerlandesa Close, la surcoreana Decision to Leave y la india RRR.
Netflix y HBO Max empataron con 14 nominaciones en el apartado televisivo.
La quinta temporada de The Crown, la exitosa miniserie Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story y la segunda entrega de The White Lotus acumularon 4 candidaturas cada una, aunque la comedia Abbott Elementary fue la producción más nominada con 5 menciones.
Los ganadores se conocerán el 10 de enero, en la gala de la 80ª edición de los premios de la Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood, que tendrá lugar en Beverly Hills, Los Ángeles.
Los Globos de Oro suelen ser los premios de más alto perfil, solo superados por los Oscar.
